White Light Scanning Process
We utilize the Steinbichler Comet 5 for all of our white light scans. It has a variety of camera lenses allowing us to capture small to large parts. Prior to the scanning process, each part must be coated with a white, chalk-like, spray that allows us to capture millions of very accurate points. This spray wipes right off and doesn’t harm the part. Although slower than something like our Faro arm it yields much more accurate data.
